Myanmar’s Arakan National Party secretary Khinne P. Soi said the commission’s report said the military had committed war crimes in Rakhine. But the previous commission or committee didn’t dare to speak about human rights abuses and war crimes there.
Referring to the report, Phil Robertson, deputy director of Human Rights Watch, a replacement York-based human rights organization within us, said the report could influence the judgment that the ICJ goes to form within the Gambier lawsuit alleging genocide against Myanmar. He said Myanmar should publish the report in both the Burmese and English languages so that the international community can skills the commission worked, what they found and why they came thereto conclusion.
Phil Robertson said it shouldn’t discuss until a full report released. However, an in-depth and politically influential commission of the Myanmar government made a handout following a vague investigation. He said the knowledge presented within the statement was slightly expected.
